These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Krodua Digital Library (the "Library"), operated by Krodua Publishing Agency (KPA) ("Krodua," "we," "our," or "us"). By creating an author account and uploading a work to the Library, you ("Author," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms.
The Krodua Digital Library is a digital platform that allows authors to make literary works available to readers through Krodua's subscription-based and promotional library services. Krodua acts as a digital distribution and library platform, unless a separate publishing agreement has been signed between Krodua and the Author.
You retain full ownership of all copyright and intellectual property rights in the work(s) you upload.
Uploading a work to the Library does not transfer ownership of your copyright to Krodua.
By uploading a work, you grant Krodua a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-bearing license to:
This license remains in effect until you remove the work from the Library or terminate your participation under these Terms.
You represent and warrant that:
You agree to indemnify and hold Krodua harmless against claims arising from a breach of these warranties.
Where a work participates in Krodua's subscription or monetized library program, revenue shall be shared according to Krodua's current Author Revenue Policy.
Unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement, subscription revenue is distributed under the platform's published revenue-sharing model (currently 40% to Krodua and 60% allocated to participating authors based on reader engagement and platform usage metrics).
Krodua may establish minimum payout thresholds, payment schedules, tax requirements, and verification procedures before payments are issued.
Krodua may apply digital rights management (DRM), watermarking, access controls, streaming, or other security measures to help prevent unauthorized copying or distribution.
Krodua cannot guarantee that piracy or unauthorized copying will never occur and is not liable for infringement committed by third parties.
Krodua reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or remove any work that:
Where reasonably possible, Krodua will notify the Author before permanent removal.
You are responsible for ensuring that the title, description, author information, categories, keywords, pricing (where applicable), and other metadata are accurate.
Krodua may make minor formatting, metadata, accessibility, or technical adjustments necessary for display and distribution without altering the substantive content of the work.
You may request removal of a work from the Library at any time through your author dashboard or by contacting Krodua.
Krodua will process removal within a reasonable period. However:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must promptly notify Krodua of unauthorized access or security breaches affecting your account.
Authors are responsible for any taxes, levies, withholding obligations, or reporting requirements arising from payments received through the Library.
Krodua may request tax information or documentation required by applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Krodua shall not be liable for:
Krodua's total liability arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid to the Author by Krodua during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Krodua may suspend or terminate an Author account for material breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, infringement claims, abuse of the platform, or unlawful conduct.
Upon termination, the license granted to Krodua ends except for copies reasonably retained for backups, legal compliance, accounting, and previously authorized reader access.
Author information is processed in accordance with Krodua's Privacy Policy. Krodua may use your name, biography, author photograph, book cover, and promotional materials for the operation and marketing of the Library.
Krodua may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use of the Library after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, the dispute shall be submitted to the courts of Ghana, unless the parties agree in writing to mediation or arbitration.
